Despite its funny name (pronounced 'Pin-yard'), this 4* holiday park ticks all the boxes for a great family holiday! It's location is perfect - within easy walking distance of the seaside resort Ronce les Bans, a resort which oozes French charm and offers plenty of fun for the kids. Close to the resort and within easy cycling distance are various beaches, from family-friendly coves to the surfing waves of the Cote Sauvage. The campsite itself has bags of activities and facilities on offer. There's a picturesque pool, with indoor and outdoor swimming, a great splash zone for the tots and plus fun waterslides. When not splashing in the pool there is plenty to enjoy on park including sports and archery, plus the on-site riding school where trails through the local woodland are a real hit.
For days out head to the Ile d'Oléron, treat yourself to locally caught oysters or stroll through the streets of local towns Rochefort and La Rochelle.

Great standard of service as usual. Look forward to returning next year

Nice site, good location.
Caravan pitches well laid out, with good privacy
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Good entertainment team
Ordered bedding and towels but were not in caravan on arrival.
9am check out is too early. Should be 10am at earliest, preferably later
Mervyn
Overall we had a great stay

Would be good to have organised games for younger children- eg football on the pitch
Pool-slides and children's area were great, pool was a little small given the number of caravans on the park.
Opening times of the shop were great.
Girls who ran the Pirate Club were great , including Sirene the lady who manages all the clubs- always made our daughter smile.
All the staff were smiley and friendly!

Check in was horrific with no space in the car park and no advance check in despite filling in all details (there was a taped off area in reception when we finally got to the front of the huge queue but with no one manning it). People were all’s pushing in and it was chaos. The caravan was decent although the outside area was a bit shabby. Entertainment team and staff were all friendly and delivered well. Pool complex decent albeit on hot days overly busy and were waiting for sun loungers if went in afternoon.
Pony riding on site but again semi disorganised.

We haven't used Siblu for 9 years and decided this year to revisit the experience. Overall we had a great time in La Pignade. It's a good location for the local town and lovely cycle rides through the forest to the beach. Only down side for us was how busy it was, which did affect the check in process and the pool area (it was August so main French holidays). I'm convinced the caravans are packed more closely together than they used to be in order to fit more people in and the facilities can't always cope with the number of people. It was difficult to find sun beds at times and the pool is simply for 'cooling off' as no space for swimming with all those bodies. It was amazing to see how enthusiastically the mainly French crowd joined in with all the songs and activities. We don't really bother with all that but the crowds at the shows really went for it full on, Main thing is for Siblu to sort the check in process out, which I don't remember being a problem when we last visited. There was a massive, slow queue to get the keys as the reception want to explain every little thing in the welcome pack to you, even though they give you all the information to take away. After a long journey and overnight ferry crossing it's important to have a smooth and quick check in so you can start to relax, that really does need looking at. Staff were generally excellent and polite with good English.

We loved it... Booked up for next year.

Our caravan at La Pignade was the beat we have ever stayed in, in Europe. Clean, tidy, spacious, thoughtful kit inside, the deck on ours with the cover was amazing and allowed our friends we were away with to join us with plenty of entertaining space. Thank you.

Great

We booked one home direct with Siblu and one direct with an owner. Our Siblu experience was superb in every respect sadly not so with the owner “Mobihome” which was an utter nightmare - don’t book with an owner ever ! Book direct with Siblu

This is our third time staying at such a complex in France. The last two times where is different sites both operating under Eurocamp. Siblu and La Pignade I had my reservations due to the French company but the difference was night and day.
On arrival (we were early) we were met by excellent friendly staff that couldn't do enough for us on telling us about the site and what we can do etc. It is the staff that makes this place. The park is small in size and easy to walk from one end to another. When you do it 8 times a day this is important as some other parks are huge and hilly so the kids would complain.
My kids (5 and 7) attended camps many times and loved the experience. They got great opportunities to meet new friends (Irish and French) and showcase their talents in the talent show. This is a memory we will never forget. My 5 year old can be a bit tricky to handle but the staff were second to none with her.
The layout of the bar/playground complex is perfect so parents can watch the show and kids have multiple activities that they can do, go to the playground etc with their friends while be able to keep an eye on them. The park is about 1/4 mile from a real road so its very safe from that respect also.
The shows are level of the production value was much better than I have seen in other parks. Out of two weeks there was probably only two shows that were French only (hypnosis was one) as having two languages wouldn't really work. All shows by the inhouse entertainers were in both French and English. Just one suggestion to the staff here is to note the French only language shows on the program as that might be a good night to eat out for non French speakers. Every other night was very excellent.
The bar was always well staffed and responsible priced. In another park we went to there was one bar tender with a huge que to get a drink at peak times.
Also the local town is about 1 Mile away and is very walkable. There are lots of nice places to eat there also (Trip Advisor has great recommendations). The take away on site also is a good option and makes good pizza.
Nothing is ever perfect but this is as close as you are going to get. Any time we had a question there was someone there to show us something or change the gas for out etc in 10 mins. It is very clear that the camp is managed very well and the customer experience is top priority. We did not experience or see a single less than exculpatory interaction between staff and guest during our staff. It is rare that you get this level.
Out of honestly I knocked a single point off for accommodation. This simply due to the AC not working in our first mobile but the staff upgraded to another with working AC so had to move us so it was not an issue but a slight issue.

Will look for air conditioned site if available the next time. Overall we had a great time, everyone was so friendly. Loved it.

Another great Siblu site - bigger than the last one we stayed at with more to do. We all loved the pool complex and it was well manned with lifeguards and felt very safe. Our 8 year old son loved finding people to play football with on the large football pitch. Our 6 year old daughter loved the entertainment as did we! The entertainment team were incredible - they never stopped and were so talented - the evening shows were a highlight of our holiday. In particular our daughter loved Taylor, who interacted with the children really well.
It was near a lovely town and only a five minute drive to the local beaches . Lovely setting, clean caravans and loads to do on site. We would definitely recommend it.
Mrs Cole
We had a lovely couple of weeks at this site. The van was of a good standard but outside area and covered decking very shabby and disappointing.
Overall the site was well kept and of a reasonable standard. Not as good as our stay in Brittany last year but would recommend.
Grant
We had a lovely time at La Pignade, the chalet was clean and comfy, weather great and facilities suited our needs. Would return!

This was our first stay at Siblu at western France. We had a very good holiday in a great mobil home. We did like it that the employees speak English. The camping was very clean, unfortunately we arrived at 2 iso 4, so we had to wait for 3 hours in the heat, and bcs of the heat we had a lot of small ants in the mobile home. After arriving in the heat I didn't like it that I had to clean the whole kitchen, but that was the only thing that bordered us in the 3 weeks we stayed at La Pignade. We already booked for next year.

What a fantastic place. We loved every minute of our holiday at La Pignade and would recommend to all our friends and family. Couldn't ask for a better resort.
Andrew
We had a fabulous stay at La Pignade. Caravan was immaculate and really well equiped. Didn't use the kids clubs but my girls enjoyed the evening entertainment. Pool was clean and never struggled for a sunbed. Lovely holiday and have booked next year at a different siblu site as We like to try new places but I would return to La Pignade.

We are 2 adults and 3 children; our week at La Pignade was lovely and the sun shone (until going home day!) The staff were great; most of our interaction was with the Pool and the Animation team which were excellent; with the children and the evening entertainment. My children loved the kids clubs. Our accommodation was nice and spacious and I'd chosen a good spot for access to the entertainment/pool area.
Emma
A wonderful holiday in a fantastic part of France. Only the pool was disappointing (quite small) although it was well supervised and we went to the beach a lot because it was beautiful there.
George
Had a lovely holiday, the staff were extremely friendly and the accomodation was clean and fresh. Amenities were close to hand and well supervised.
Kids had a wonderful time and also the local beach and area were spotless. Already booked for next year.
Gavin
The holiday home was not ready until early evening and no one told us what was happening. When we got to the home the plot was very small and there was no where to park the car.
Rebecca
We had a great time in la pignade . The site is spotless ; very family friendly and not overcrowded . The mobile home was so clean and had washing machine and dishwasher, which was excellent. The staff onsite were very helpful and worked hard . The big shows were very good. The animation team work so hard . My reasons for not giving a higher score are that the pool wasn’t great for toddlers . The area with toys by the slides should be down at the kids pool . The kids pool gets boring for them and the big pool is quite deep and gets far too crowded for young children . The play area to the right of the kids pool is quite good but you are better to have a bigger kids pool with toys in it . I was so disappointed there was no entertainer for the bubble club or even appropriate equipment . There were pencils and no paper . There were some toys but it wasn’t looked after and after an hour in there with my child ; I left and never returned . I have no problem bringing her and supervising but there was
Little to do in the tent ... all the games were mixed up ...
my five year old went to the kids club but didn’t really enjoy it . We looked at it a few times and it seemed a bit boring for them . They went to the woods every day - my daughter felt she was too slow and was a bit nervous to return. However one day they did arts and crafts and she loved it . If they did More of that she would have gone lots and enjoyed it . Catherine and Kevin work very hard and they all put a lot of effort into the shows but there should be more bigger shows or better entertainment on other nights - a few nights the planned activities were poor but we didn’t mind a night off either ! Overall we had a great stay ! However the pool and the kids club activities were just a little disappointing
David
The site is smaller than other Siblu sites that we have stayed in before but I think this was a good thing. All staff were very friendly. The entertainment was of a high standard and the bar, pool and restaurant areas were very clean.and reasonably priced.
There is a small town nearby with a beach. The beach is okay but there are much nicer ones a shot drive or cycle ride down the coast.
I will certainly be going back at some point dispute mosquitos. The only negative I have of the holiday was that the mobile home wasn't quite as good as others I have stayed in but it was perfectly functional even with four adults two teens and a toddler.
Scott
Staff were excellent and park was very clean. Entertainment for all ages. Our children who came with us are 18 and 13 and this was our first stay with Siblu (and France). Just wish I had holidayed with Siblu when children were younger.
Away from the site there are some amazing beaches and places to explore.
The manager of the park always made a point of coming over asking how our stay was.. Really good guy (sorry I've forgot his name but he is from Cuba)
Thank you,
Jo
We had an amazing holiday... great staff and friendly site. Brilliant!
Nick
Great campsite but you need another swimming pool.
Restaurant excellent. Staff superb . Siblu staff exceptional . Esoeciallly Thibault

Very enjoyable!

A jolly family holiday
La Pignade has the complete aquatic area: heated outdoor swimming pool in which, amongst other activities, wild aqua gym sessions are organised, waterslides and a paddling pool for toddlers. The whole family can have fun and relax under the watchful eye of qualified lifeguards at all times.
The performance stage is the gathering place at least twice a week during the summer period to attend quality evening shows. A Bar and Games room complete the picture for even more fun. Looking for daytime activities? Every week we put at your disposal an entertainment program rich in activities for everyone!
Facing the island of Oléron and the city of Marennes, the beaches of Ronce les Bains and La Tremblade are not to be missed. In the heart of an exceptional and preserved landscape, between maritime pines and dunes, you'll also find the beaches of Embellie and Galon d'Or. Another attraction for the young and old is the popular funfair at Ronce les Bains, which takes up its summer setting on Place Brochard.
From Pointe de la Coubre to Point Espagnole (popular for Surfing), the Cote Sauvage (Wild Coast) is a nature getaway to experience without moderation. Between pine forests and dunes, these untamed beaches offer a spectacle of great beauty.
In an invigorating and unforgettable setting, La Rochelle is a great stopover for the family. Classic or playful, there is a walk for everyone, along the old port lined with restaurants, in the town centre with its superb arcaded houses, or towards one of the largest private aquariums in Europe.
Setting sail for the island of Oléron means embarking for an exceptional trip, tasting the joys of bike rides, sailing or gourmet visits in a breathtaking nature. Not to be missed: the Petit train de Saint Trojan which takes you through the forest to Gatseau beach, considered one of the most beautiful in France. With the feeling of being alone in the world.
The Cordouan Lighthouse is the oldest French lighthouse still in operation, and the last lighthouse at sea still open to the public. Built from 1584 to 1611, sometimes called the "Versailles of the sea", the "lighthouse of kings" or even the "king of lighthouses", it is the first lighthouse classified as a historical monument in the list of 1862.
Fort Boyard is certainly the best known but it is only one of the many forts that line the coast of Charente Maritime. Built in the 18th century, its fortifications built to protect are today worth a visit by boat when you come to the Charente Maritime.
After a Pony ride around the park, your children will have a blast at our free Bubbles Playroom for tots, or one of the free kids' clubs for older children. Bubbles Playroom is a fun-packed space just for little ones with mum or dad, and the kids' clubs offer games, sports and activities led by our friendly bilingual entertainment team, and they're a great place to make new friends!
