Lyon, the capital city in France’s Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, has very visible signs of 2,000 years of history, from the Roman Amphithéâtre des Trois Gaules, to the medieval and Renaissance architecture in the old town, to the modern Confluence district on Presqu'île peninsula. Lyon's Old Quarter
The city of Lyon can also be discovered through its small alleys and 'traboules'. These little shortcuts in the form of an interior passage will take you to discover the charming corners of old Lyon, a district listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

A ride by Vaporetto
Take advantage of your stopover in Lyon to board the Vaporetto. This popular river shuttle will take you on a ride along the banks of the Saône to discover Old Lyon as far as the trendy Confluence district.
Tête d’Or Park
A true little corner of paradise, Parc de la Tête d'Or is the largest urban park in France. It offers a calm and green space, ideal for enjoying sunny days in Lyon. You can also go swimming here, as well as walk along the canals and play a number of sports.
The Blue Route to the Monts d’Or Lyon by bike
Cycling lovers are not left out at our campsite in Lyon. The Blue Route is a 40km route that connects Lyon to the plain of the Monts d'Or. A superb walk to discover magnificent landscapes, the medieval and industrial city of Lyon.
The Basilica of Notre Dame de Fourvière
The Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière stands proudly above Lyon and offers an incredible view of the city. This Romanesque basilica is one of the most beautiful sites in Lyon to visit, browse its galleries and crypts to discover the history of the city.
The Confluence Museum
The Musée des Confluences is an essential place of multidisciplinary culture. It includes a library, several galleries and a large cafeteria, all in a grandiose setting facing the Saône.
Le Mur des Canuts
The Mur des Canuts is a historical monument located in the Saint-Jean area of Lyon. It pays homage to the silk workers, the “canuts”, who shaped the economic and social history of the city. An essential visit to learn more about the history of Lyon.
