Discover France's Beautiful Nature & Landscape

France is more than twice as big as the UK but has the same amount of people, so there’s a lot of space to relax in. It’s filled with some of the most stunning countryside in the world, from mountains to coasts and everything else in-between. Great rivers criss-cross the interior and forests of all types cover nearly 30 per cent of the landscape, creating a smorgasbord of glorious destinations for holidaymakers.

And because France is so big, each region has kept its own identity, whether that’s small villages and rolling hills or grand castles and awe-inspiring river gorges. It’s like holidaying in a different France every time you go! No wonder people come back time and again for camping holidays to drink it all in.

Domaine de Dugny: Our Campsite in a Picture-book Setting

One of the most popular destinations for UK visitors is the Loire Valley, a World Heritage site known as the Garden of France because of its fertile soil. Its fairytale castles sit on emerald-green hills, lined with vineyards, fruit orchards (such as cherries), and artichoke and asparagus fields. And our Le Domaine de Dugny campsite is smack bang in the middle of it all, on the northern banks of the Loire river.

The holiday park is just minutes away from the Loire river itself and is surrounded by small villages and greenery that give it a charming picture-book setting. You’re superbly situated for discovering the magnificent chateaux that decorate the region, including the famous grand buildings and garden at Chambord, Chaumont-sur-Loire and Chenonceau. Don’t miss the chance for a bird’s eye view of the dramatic landscape on a hot-air balloon trip!

Peace and Relaxation: Domaine de Litteau in Normandy

Closer to the UK but no less picturesque is Normandy, a land of orchards, coastal marshes and home to our Domaine de Litteau holiday park. The campsite sits on the edge of Cerisy Forest – over 5,000 acres of beech woodland – and is the perfect base for exploring the lush region of Normandy. One of the best ways to get down with nature and explore is with a guided tour on horseback.

A genuine paradise for nature lovers and walking enthusiasts, Normandy has it all: rivers, mountains, cliffs and those famous D-Day beaches. Fly fishing fans will love the river Orne, while family members into outdoor sports can find amazing places to hike, climb or kayak just outside the campsite. Or if people are feeling a bit lazier, there are two on-site fishing ponds, and pools and bars to relax in while the kids hit the Pirates Club!

France has miles of sandy coast to choose from, much of it just a short drive - or walk - from one of our holiday parks. The only decision you have to make is whether to go wild on the Atlantic side or a bit ritzier on the Med!

At Siblu we know it is tough to leave any member of your family behind when you head on holiday. That's why we've opened up availability for up to two pets per mobile home on six of our holiday parks in France.

Four of our French parks now offer the option to book touring pitches for your tent or caravan: Domaine de Litteau in Normandy, Le Conguel in Brittany and Les Dunes de Contis and Les Viviers in the South West of France.

You don’t have to be a superfit bike fanatic to make the most of the landscape here – cycling is a national past-time in France so you can be sure you’ll be catered for with well-marked paths if you plan a two-wheeled trip with family members, young and old.

If you want the freedom of bringing your own car to France the ferry can be a great way to start your holiday. Many families find that the journey itself becomes an adventure for the kids, especially as many of them have supervised play areas, cinemas and children's entertainers.

Sometimes you just want to get to your holiday as quickly as possible. And given everything there is to do at a Siblu holiday park, who can blame you? Take a look at our holiday parks near airports here.
