Did you know that Siblu offers some of the very best family activity holidays in France?
If you don’t want every day to be a lazy one, our holiday parks make it easy for your family to pull on their cycling shorts, squeeze into a wetsuit, or even take aim at a bullseye with a whole host of sporting activities they can enjoy.
Swimming
Every Siblu holiday village has a brilliant pool complex for you and the kids to enjoy, and many have waterslides and splashzones too.
Kids clubs
Each park also has a range of kids’ clubs for different ages, offering inspiring, inventive and thrilling activities that will see your kids making a gang of new friends. There’s everything from craft sessions to sports tournaments, film-making to pillow fighting!
Sports
You’ll also discover lots of different sports activities across every Siblu park. Most have boules pitches (the French take it very seriously!) and multi-sports pitches for football and basketball. Many also have tennis courts, outdoor gym equipment, and there are plenty of adventure playgrounds for the kids to clamber around.
You'll also find some parks offering coached activities as extra options, giving you the chance to try new sports, such as archery.
Cycling
Another French favourite is cycling, and there is usually mile-after-mile (should that be kilometre-after-kilometre) of bike paths for safe cycling within easy reach of our parks. These will often provide safe routes to local seaside towns and beaches, for a gloriously relaxed way to travel.
And there’s no need to stress about bringing your own bikes from the UK, as you can hire bikes companies based on, or close to, all Siblu holiday villages.
Watersports
For those who want to have fun on the water, there are lots of different active options. Surfers will find world-class waves along the south west coast where the choppy Bay of Biscay funnels the swells. Many of our coastal parks are close to watersports providers who can offer a host of activities – simply as at reception for details.
La Réserve, on Lake Biscarrosse, is home to the Nautil Sailing Club, where you can hire equipment and book lessons for catamaran, dinghy, canoe, kayak, surfboards and stand-up paddle. There are individual and group lessons for all levels of sailor.
Fishing
Fishing is a firm favourite with lots of visitors and both Domaine de Litteau in Normandy and Domaine de Dugny in the Loire Valley have on-site fishing lakes for guests.
Domaine de Litteau is also near to Les Etangs de Planquery, a complex of fishing lakes near the magnificent Château de Ballero. Domaine de Dugny has the added bonus of being near to the lovely Loire River, and there are lots of spots you can catch large barbell.
Fishing in many areas in France requires a fishing licence, and the rules differ between regions. We suggest you contact your Siblu holiday park to get help making the necessary arrangements.
