While it is not possible to swim in Pérol Lake, there are plenty of nearby seaside spots to enjoy during your stay at Le Lac des Rêves. Carnon Plage is great for swimmers and La Grande Motte provides ideal opportunities for younger kids to splash around in safety thanks to gently sloping beaches and lifeguard supervision. Meanwhile, at the seaside resort of Palavas-les-Flots the former water tower now hosts a rotating restaurant with panoramic views.

When you stay at La Carabasse, not only do you have direct access from the holiday park to the sandy beach at Vias Plage but you’re also in a unique position to enjoy the range of great Languedoc beaches in this area. There are no less than 13 beaches on the Cap d’Agde, so there’s something for everyone here: leafy Rochelongue Plage is lifeguarded-supervised during the summer months so it’s a great choice for a family swim.

Les Sables du Midi has the lively resort of ‘Valras Plage’ right on its doorstep. You don’t have to go far to discover the best of Languedoc’s beaches when you’re based at Siblu’s Mar Estang holiday park. The beach of Estelle de Mar is only 100 metres from the site, so you only need to take a short stroll from your Siblu mobile home to reach the clear blue waters of the Mediterranean. Less than 4km down the coast is the bustling Canet en Roussillon with its 9km of Blue Flag certified beaches.

Canal du Midi
Cycling, walking, boating or even horse riding along part of the 150 miles stretch of the Canal du Midi is a brilliant way to discover some of the most beautiful parts of the Languedoc countryside. The peaceful, tree-lined canal is classed as a UNESCO World Heritage site and is considered to be one of the greatest construction works of the 17th century.

Béziers & Narbonne
The historic southern cities of Béziers and Narbonne are easy to reach by car from our Languedoc holiday parks. Béziers, situated between sea and vineyards, is one of the oldest cities in France and is particularly famed for its 14th century cathedral and its traditional ‘Feria’ festivities which are held every summer. Narbonne also has a stunning medieval cathedral, a busy market, and is not far from stunning Blue Flag beaches.

Europark de Vias
Less than a 10 minute walk from La Carabasse is Europark at Vias Plage, the largest fixed fairground in Europe. With over 80 attractions, there is something here for thrill seekers of all ages. Firework shows are also often put on in the evening and food stalls offer all kind of traditional fairground refreshments.
