Stunning architecture, lavish interiors, fascinating historical anecdotes and amazing gardens where the kids can let off steam. To find out more about the stories of the ordinary people who lived in this area don’t miss the Vallée Troglodytes des Goupillières which aims to recreate the living conditions of the cave-dwelling farming community of days gone by.
Domaine de Dugny is less than 20 minutes’ drive away from the beautiful Loire River and even has its own on-site fishing lake so it’s the perfect spot for a range of outdoor activities. Days Out
There’s loads to explore during a stay inland at Les Rives de Condrieu. The closet stop to the holiday park is the charming village of Condrieu which is worth a visit not only for its proximity to the campsite and its picturesque riverside location but for its Condrieu white wine which has a unique floral flavour. Cimes Aventures, a treetop adventure course, is always a popular family day out, as is the zoo at Saint-Martin-la-Plaine (both are just over 30 minutes drive from Les Rives de Condrieu).
The countryside of the Rhone Alps is wonderfully diverse with so much to explore. Cycling along the Via Rhona cycle path is a great way to explore the region at your own pace and much of the route is colour-coded ‘green’ meaning its suitable for cyclists of all levels. Water sports and swimming in the Rhone River are also popular given Les Rives de Condrieu's riverside location. To venture further afield check out the Pilat and Vercors national parks.
